Our Engagement

Then came that wonderful day, June 14, 2026—a date I will forever cherish in my heart. ❤️
That day, Brother Nephthali officially proposed to me, and I have to admit: I didn’t see it coming at all!
After sharing his testimony in front of the entire congregation, he called me up to the front of the church. I simply thought he wanted to use me as an example to illustrate the explanation of a Bible passage he had just shared.
I didn’t yet know that I had actually become… the “guinea pig” for an illustration that was about to take a completely unexpected turn! 😄❤️
As he explained the passage, his illustration turned into a full-fledged marriage proposal, right in front of the entire congregation.
At that moment, the surprise was total!
The entire church was pleasantly surprised, and the moment was filled with joy, emotion, and gratitude. After the proposal, we also received the blessing of our spiritual leaders, making this moment even more precious and meaningful to us. 🕊️
For me, it was much more than just a marriage proposal.
That moment was further confirmation of God’s faithfulness and the extraordinary way He had guided every step of our journey.

From our first meeting on October 23, 2023, to our early days of serving together, through the various trials we faced, to our engagement on February 17, 2025, and finally to this official proposal on June 15, 2026, we can look back and recognize the Lord’s hand in every detail.
God is truly the Alpha and the Omega: the One who begins a work and brings it to completion. 🙏🏽
God’s Word reminds us in Ecclesiastes 7:8:
“The end of a matter is better than its beginning. ”
And today, we understand the depth of this word even more.
What a blessing to see how God has transformed a simple encounter into a story that He Himself continues to write.
What a blessing it is for me, too, to be able to say with gratitude:
“I am the future helpmate of my brother Nephthali Miakazebi.” ❤️💍
And if we have come this far, it is certainly not by our own strength, but solely by the grace, faithfulness, and sovereignty of our Lord Jesus Christ.
